Joy in the Harvest is very pleased to announce that as of January 1, 2006, Rev. Glen Beck of Franklin, Indiana is representing Joy in the Harvest to all churches and interested groups in the state of Indiana. Glen is an outstanding mission statesman who has been used by the Lord from local churches in America to the churches in refugee camps in central Africa. Widely known, respected, and loved, he is one of United Methodist's most effective and inspiring mission leaders today. Joy in the Harvest is honored that Rev. Beck has agreed to work in conjunction with Joy in the Harvest.
Glen has served for many years as the leader of the Southern Indiana Annual Conference Mission Interpretation Project. He has visited mission fields all over the world and has ministered internationally -- working closely with many missionaries. Rev. Beck served many years as a United Methodist pastor in Indiana. He has a tender heart for God's people in the pews. He is a person whose heart has been touched by the things that break the heart of God.
Joy in the Harvest has long considered it an important part of our mission work to assist local churches in the States. We know the importance of communication, current information, and sharing the blessings from the mission field in Africa. We have a special place in our hearts for mission chairpersons of local churches. These saints of God who endeavor to serve in this position need help! Also pastors who are caring heavy ministry loads often can use assistance in getting their mission program on track.
